Wish You Were Here: VOX MINI GO 3 settings

Pink Floyd

The acoustic introduction, adapted for electric guitar. This is not the acoustic guitar sound of the recording.

An electric guitar, its pickups and the MINI GO 3 speaker cannot recreate the acoustic instrument, microphone placement or production of the original track. No listening validation by independent players has yet been recorded for this page.

Starting settings

Start with the neck pickup. On an HSS guitar, this is the neck single coil, not the bridge humbucker.

Reference with single-coil pickups; relative control positions, not calibrated measurements.
Amp modelDELUXE CL
Gain2/10
Tone5/10
EFFECTS 1OFF
EFFECTS 2OFF

The table uses the pick reference. In fingers mode the app proposes Tone one step higher (6 rather than 5); this is an editorial preference, not a measured correction. Your saved calibration may also change the displayed values.

Start with Volume low, then raise it to a comfortable level. Effects positions are labelled zones, not a global scale out of ten.

Listen, change one thing, compare

  1. Start with both effects off and play a short arpeggio you already know. Keep the attack gentle and the amp volume comfortable.
  2. If the notes blur together, reduce Gain from 2 towards 1 before changing the tone control. Listen for each string to remain distinct.
  3. Only after the dry sound is clear, try a little HALL at the beginning of its labelled zone. Return to OFF if the tail hides the next note.

A different passage needs a different decision

For short melodic phrases, first try a slightly firmer attack with the same clean setting. More gain is an optional interpretation, not an authenticated solo preset.

Try these settings in Tone Studio

The app uses your selected pickup profile. It stores saved sounds in this browser, not in the amplifier or a cloud account. Export a backup before changing browser or device.
