The main electric rhythm riff, not the lead-guitar solo. The aim is a dry, articulate crunch rather than maximum distortion.
BRIT 800 is an available model used here as a practical approximation, not evidence of the equipment or settings used on the record. Pickups, speaker, room and playing level change the result. This proposal has not yet been validated by independent players.
Starting settings
Try the bridge pickup. Gain 4 is the single-coil reference. Tone Studio starts at Gain 3 with a bridge HSS humbucker or the humbucker guitar profile.

The table uses the pick reference. In fingers mode the app proposes Tone one step higher (6 rather than 5); this is an editorial preference, not a measured correction. Your saved calibration may also change the displayed values.
Start with Volume low, then raise it to a comfortable level. Effects positions are labelled zones, not a global scale out of ten.
Listen, change one thing, compare
- Select BRIT 800, turn both effects off and start with the amp volume low. Play the same short rhythm phrase each time.
- If the chord attack becomes a continuous fuzz, lower Gain one step. A strong picking attack should add bite without erasing the gaps between chords.
- If the bridge pickup is sharp, lower Tone slightly before adding reverb. Compare at a similar listening level: louder is not automatically closer.
A different passage needs a different decision
For a lead experiment, try a small gain increase and rebalance Volume by ear. This page does not establish the original solo chain or a separate verified lead setting.
