VOX MINI GO 3: settings, effects and practical limits

Understand Gain, Tone, Volume and both effects banks on the VOX MINI GO 3 before trying song-based settings.

Start dry and quiet

Connect your guitar to INPUT, not MIC IN. Start with Volume low, select a clean model and turn both effects fully left to bypass them. Raise Volume gradually. Gain changes the preamp drive; Volume sets the output level. Keep the listening level comfortable.

Tone is not Bass plus Treble

The MINI GO 3 has one Tone control. Do not copy an AC15 or MINI GO 50 setting as if those amplifiers had identical controls. On the LINE model the Gain and Tone controls have different equalisation roles; these song guides do not use LINE.

Two effects banks, one choice in each

EFFECTS 1 offers modulation or octave; EFFECTS 2 offers delay or reverb. Set each knob inside the named effect zone. A setting near the beginning of HALL is not a value of 1/10 across the whole knob. Internal delay and reverb cannot be selected together in EFFECTS 2. TIME uses the interval between two taps for the effect time.

Saving in the app is not programming the amp

The manual reserves user programs for the MINI GO 50 and the looper for the MINI GO 10/50. Tone Studio cannot add those hardware features to the MINI GO 3. Its saved sounds are browser records: restore the knobs manually and export a backup if you need portability.
