How Tone Studio settings are made: sources and limits

Tone Studio, available on guitar-sound.com, is a browser-based guitar-tone tool. Our guides offer editable starting points for a specific passage and amp, not a reconstruction of a recording session.

Are these the original artist settings?

No. The values are editorial proposals, not artist-certified settings. We have not measured the original recordings or verified the artists’ signal chains. No independent listening validation is claimed for these guides. A successful browser test checks the interface, not the sound.

What do the sources actually support?

The official VOX manual documents available models, controls and effects. It does not supply our song-specific numerical settings. The passage descriptions and playing suggestions are our editorial interpretation; the manual is not evidence that an artist used this amplifier.

Why can the app show different numbers?

Guide tables use a single-coil, pick-playing reference. The existing app lowers gain for a humbucker and proposes Tone one step higher in fingers mode on MINI GO 3. Your saved calibration may adjust this again. These rules are editable listening starting points, not measured models of your hands or pickups.

Will MINI GO 3 settings work on my AC15?

Do not copy the numbers directly. Those amps have different controls. These static song guides cover MINI GO 3; choose your own amp in the studio for its separate editable proposal. A guide button explicitly selects MINI GO 3, without programming a physical amplifier.

Where are my saved sounds?

Saved settings are stored in this browser for this site origin. They do not automatically follow you to another device, browser or domain, and they are not hardware presets. Use the app’s backup export/import before moving them. Browser storage can be cleared; it is not a cloud backup.

Do you provide tabs, lyrics or original audio?

These guides do not reproduce tablature, lyrics, scores or recordings. Song and artist names identify the musical reference only. Future sheet music needs a verified licence, permission or public-domain basis; a free site does not remove copyright obligations.
